Local Contest
Conducted at a local
Spring Conference near you in the spring of 2006. See the
Spring
Conference Locations Page for the expected dates and location.
- 1st - $200, trophy, and a travel allowance
to go to the finals of up to $1,000 per team with a maximum of four
team members
- 2nd - $100 and a plaque.
- 3rd - $50 and a plaque.
FINALS
At the 2006 International
Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE, The ASME Congress) in Chicago, IL:
- 1st Place - The prize consists of $3000 plus $1000
awarded to the Student Section of the Winner's Institution.
- 2nd Place - The prize consists of $1000 plus $500
awarded to the Student Section of the Winner's Institution.
- 3rd Place - The prize consists of $500 plus $250
Awarded to the Student Section of the Winner's Institution.

For Local Spring
Conference winners to attend the Congress:
- All travel contributions will be paid after
submittal of expense reports.
- All travel contributions are subject to ASME
policy restrictions (travel expense + $100/day out-of-pocket expenses)
unless you have been officially notified otherwise. See also ASME
